Eva van der Hoek [NL] takes a curious approach to graphic design, where research and dialogue are valuable elements. She works from critical approaches and research methods to raise, explore and communicate the ethics around social engagement in graphic design. For Eva, a publication, a manifesto or a collaborative project are valuable forms to express such a critique. During her studies, she developed a sharp awareness of the potential of education to facilitate discussion, collaboration and new insights. She will continue to study the boundaries of social engagement and explore different media to make her projects accessible through visual expression.
